This ministry, led by Pastor Luis Alvarado, meets at 2790 Kilburn Avenue in Napa.  Worship is at 11:00 AM on Sundays.

Ongoing Schedule

Monday Night Prayer: This is a gathering for all interested to come together for a time of prayer

Thursday Night Worship and Bible Study: This evening begins with a time of worship and then expository preaching by Pastor Luis. He is currently preaching / teaching through the Gospel of John.

Sunday Morning: Worship is at 11:00. Worship at Mision de Jesus includes much singing, clapping, rejoicing, as well as times of reflection and prayer, and focus on the Word, read and preached. There is also a Sunday School for the children.

What’s been happening at Mision de Jesus?

Here are a few events that took place in the past few months:

• Worship: Pastor Luis reports that worship attendance has been stable and very good.

• Praise Band Training: Pastor Luis’ son, Luis, is training and teaching several people for service to the Lord and His church as part of their worship band. (One of his students is Pastor Luis!)

• Painting Project: The painting project is complete. Come by and have a look!

• Photos: Did you see the photos we showed at worship last month? We will be showing more in the future. The photos were from the “Women’s Fair” as well as the Christmas Celebration. There were also several photos of the exterior with its fresh coat of paint!

What’s coming up?

Pastor Luis is still working with his advisory group, getting that organized in a way that will help him and the ministry.

What can you do?

• Pray: Keep Mision de Jesus in your prayers.

• Pray for the growth of the youth program.

• Pray for the growing drama team and the praise band.

• Pray that the people may be led by the Holy Spirit to reach out their neighbors and friends.

• Pray for the “council” that is working with Pastor Luis.

• Visit: People of St. John’s are always welcome at any event going on at Mision de Jesus. Please keep in mind, though, that everything is in Spanish.

• Invite: Do you know Spanish-speaking people? Tell them about Mision de Jesus. Brochures for this ministry are in the Church Entryway as well as the Church Office.
