Women’s Ministry

Come join us!

We are so thankful and amazed at the work God is doing in our Women’s Ministry! Attendance at our Bible Studies is GROWING! in the middle of summer, our sign-ups for Women of Faith are full, and our Lunch Bunch has had to move to larger facilities as they continue to grow and reach out to women in our community. We praise Him for His mighty works!

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Our quarterly fellowship event is scheduled for September 13th.  We are in the planning stages for our next get-together for ALL women in our church. Would you like to help? We are forming our planning team NOW. Ideas include an afternoon tea, a potluck, cookie exchange or ??? Call Lauren Huss or Kathy Fitzgerald if you would like to help.

October 3rd & 4th    Women of Faith Conference at the San Jose Arena.  All spaces are currently full.  Please call Lauren Huss if you have any questions.

January 24th    We are planning our annual one-day Women’s Retreat to be held at St. John’s Lutheran Parish Hall. Mark your calendars now and please watch for further details!

STUDY

“The Cast” Bible Study    We are reading "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World: Finding Intimacy With God in the Busyness of Life" by Joanna Weaver.  It’s not too late to jump in and join us. We read one chapter each week and meet on Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m. to discuss. All women are welcome! Come and find out what it means to be a part of “The Cast”. Contact Vicky Bartelt

Lunch Bunch Bible Study    We’ve moved! Our group has outgrown our facilities so we are now meeting at Marie Callenders.  We are currently studying from the Lutheran Women’s Quarterly, Summer Edition, ”Does the Bible Really Say That?” Our next meeting is August 22nd at 11 a.m. Come join us for study, fellowship and lunch! Book Club and Potluck   We meet on the 4th Thursday of the month from 6:30 to 9 p.m. We will take a break in August, so our next meeting will be September 25th. A new book to read beforehand will be announced soon. Come ready to discuss our book and bring a dish to share!  Contact Christi Jeffery

 
SERVICE

Quilting Group    We’re meeting August 9th from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. to work on our projects. New to quilting? Come join us! All levels are welcome. Contact Lois Johnson

Women in Mission   Our Bible Study and Potluck will meet August 13th at 11:30 a.m. in Room 10. Come discuss new ideas for Mission Projects.  We are currently studying Women of the Bible. Bring a dish to share. Everyone is welcome!   Contact Jean Gonzales

Do you like to knit or crochet? We are making hats and blankets for premature infants at Queen of the Valley Hospital. If you would like to help, please contact Jean Gonzales.
